A great hike up near Gaskill Peak again

It was an absolutely beautiful day for a walk up the Forest Service Road to find the new caches placed by $kimmer and The Vulture and the Splashes. They found some great locations for the caches.

This is a view to the north towards Viejas Mountain, the location of "Tax Freedom Cache," which was my very first FTF.

One of the caches was near this great expanse of California "slickrock."

Both Lawson Peak and Gaskill Peak can be seen from this location which was near "I Can See Barrett Lake."

To the south, we could see Tecate Peak.

The size of Barrett Lake as seen from this elevation is surprising.

It was a fantastic day, we hiked more than three miles, and I got five "smilies."
